So...where have I been since May?!?

I think it's safe to say that I have been on a bit of a rollercoaster ride since my last visit to my blog, as in early June I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I cant describe how it feels to hear those words except to say that I was overwhelmed with fear. The nasty thing about it is that there are so many potential outcomes but you have to wait some weeks before finding out what your particular journey is going to be - it's a very weird time! However, my joy is that I am one of the very lucky ones - having undergone surgery in July, I was delighted to learn that all the cancer had been removed and that there had been no spread. No radiotherapy, no chemo...just hormone tabs, which despite the onslaught of hot flushes, is fine with me! Getting over the surgery has been a bit of a slog, but knowing that I'm clear obviously makes everything else so much easier to cope with.

Looking back at the last 3 months, I often wonder how I have got through it, still smiling...and crafting now and again, and certainly still stash buying.....but it doesnt take long to figure out how...my wonderful family, work buddies and my amazing Docrafts friends have supported me every step of the way - putting up with my moans & making me laugh...and boy have those Docrafts girls made me laugh! We had a virtual pyjama party the night before my op...what fun that was! And Gina organised the girls into sending me beautiful handcrafted cards...crammed full of sparkly vibes, to arrive the day before my op.....I cant put into words what a boost that was girls, I thank you once again for such kindness! The Docrafts gang made what could have been such a miserable and scary time, into fun fun fun....I'm sure you all saw the nasty thing off!!! I'm very lucky to have 'met' you all, and like it or not you will be my friends for life!!!

So...what of the Monopoly project? Well, it's on hold just now but I will get it up and running again sometime soon. Meanwhile, today I will post a piccie of some of the sparkly vibes I received...and tomorrow it will be back to some serious crafting & I will post some of my recent creations....

Once again, thank you girls!!! Sparkly vibes all round! Sue xxx
