sue-bubbles crafty emporium (to-be!)

OK a little premature perhaps, but I have made a sign for my crafty room to be...and I love it! This is also my first BIA project...wires a little over-squished, but all the loveliness distracts from that. The board panels are each 12" x 6", and covered in K&Company Que Sera Sera papers (totally yummy), and the flowers, vines, birdies etc are cut using Sizzix dies from papers from the same range, with a little Wild Raspberry thrown in too. Random brads, buttons, rub-ons and gems....and voila! My inspiration for this style comes from '3 Dimensional Me' - see my favourite blog list...her work is truly amazing and a journey through her creations is highly recommended!

So....all I need now is a bucket load of energy to get on with the big tidy up, and the creation of my crafty emporium!

The Crafty Chicks of Waitrose, Towcester!!!

One of the highlights of April has to be the first gathering of the Crafty Chicks crafty club at my place of work! I had been threatening to get it started for ages and ages, then when some of the gals started to badger me...'when are you getting this craft club started then?', I finally got my butt in gear and set a date - 4th April! So....where were all these gals then, just the three 'most beautiful and talented' of us showed up - Ella, Lee and my good self, but what fun we had! I went armed with a big tote full of sizzix goodies, plus a huge box of random scrummyness and was only thankful that I was collecting Ella on the way! Im used to going into the shop at 7 a.m. before we are open, but of course our crafty club started at 11, so that meant struggling through a store full of customers...what a sight we must have looked!

Anway, much gossiping and crafting took place...and we filled the space with all our goodies, so I declared the gathering a great success! Of course the Crafty Chicks will have their very own album...and here is the first layout:

For someone who isnt rushing around here and there after kids and OH's, I seem to be in a topsy turvy state a lot of the time...and Jen is so right, I have been neglecting my blog (she can talk!). Ooops...time warp time!

Its a happy March and April from Kate and Sue!!!

Thank you Kate for my gorgeous Red Panda and my Easter bunny, they are both amazing pages and look so pretty on my calendar!

Hello....Im here, I found my way out of 'the room'
